THE ARTIST/DESIGNER :

Instinctively drawn to the Arts, Nicomis • Nyx • Blalock began her education at an early age, studying dance, music, and architecture in addition to the Visual Arts. She has been designing and creating ever since.

Growing up in Spanish Harlem, New York, her aesthetic developed eclectically, influenced as much by days spent sketching in the Upper East Side's world-reknowned museums and libraries as nights spent haunting the bars and cafes of the East Village. She went on to study Fine Arts at NYU and The School of Visual Arts, before moving to Santa Fe, NM to pursue a degree in Jewelry and Sculpture at the ground-breaking Institute of American Indian Arts.

Currently located in the heart of the thriving Frankford Arts Corridor, Philadelphia, PA, she offers private lessons and internships in Jewelry-making and Metalworking in her Studio/Gallery:: Asha Beta Industries.
